2023 Holiday Gift Drive for CID residents

Every year, InterIm CDA serves hundreds of low-income, immigrant, refugee, Asian and Pacific Islander people and families through all our community building programs and services. We’ve responded their needs since 1969. We’ve impacted thousands of lives by creating affordable housing and providing culturally and linguistically responsive services.

Through all our programs, we connect with people in the CID. Uncle Bob taught us the ethic. We’ll always look out for this neighborhood. You can, too. Contribute a gift this holiday season through our Holiday Gift Drive, a program we are restarting again after the pandemic years.

On our side, we can provide you a list of items that our residents want – some of these gifts will be for their children and others will be for themselves (many of whom are seniors on limited government assistance). Many of the gifts will be in the line of clothing and other basic needs. Our goal is to get 150-250 commitments.

Our CID and other surrounding communities has gone through a lot over the last few years due to the pandemic and the recent rise of violence and property theft to API’s. We are hoping to give a little bright light to those who have been impacted. How you can participate:

  • Give: We’ll work with a liaison at your company to supply a list of gifts we are seeking for specific residents
  • Volunteer: You can also help us give gifts to residents in the CID at special events we’ll hold this holiday season
  • Ensure your employer matches your hours and your monetary donations to support our work InterIm CDA

Thank you to Gates Foundation, Expedia, Sound Transit, Swedish, Marpac, Microsoft, Bush School and Enterprise for their participation in our gift drive.

If you’d like to help out, you can donate a gift, volunteer for helping us wrap gifts at a location in the CID on Dec. 7, 8, 11 or 12; and we’ll also have parties in mid-December where we’ll distribute gifts to residents at a centralized location in the CID.  Contact Tom Im, tim@interimcda.org for more information on how you can participate in our gift drive this year.
